Virginia has elections every year. Primaries (for all parties) for offices elected in November are normally held on the second Tuesday in June. Deadline to update your address or to register to vote: May 22nd, 2017.

2017 is for Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, General Assembly (House of Delegates) and local elections.

Same polling locations as General Election, polls are open 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. If you are in line by 7:00 pm you may vote.

WHAT’S ON YOUR BALLOT, click here (VA Dept. of Elections): enter registered voting address, find out where to vote, what’s on your ballot, and more (for the most complete and up to date information, consult your local election official; the ballot information displayed is based on the address provided and does not confirm your eligibility to vote).

Virginia law allows you to vote in only one political party primary election when multiple political party primary elections are held on the same day. Each primary has a separate ballot listing different candidates. The voter must indicate which ballot he would like to receive.
